In my department, we use it to facilitate meetings that review the EMR build and workflow use. The screenshare feature is an important component of GlobalMeet to help ensure clarity during discussions and decisions. I use it 2-3 times a day running a meeting. My meetings have anywhere from 5-60 attendees.

My team additionally leverages it to hold educational webinars. Those also range in attendance, anywhere from 5-35 attendees, but are run multiple times a day.

  • With the updated version, it makes it easy for anyone to screen share during very helpful meetings. This is because a lot of my attendees are clinicians and not very familiar with global meet and they would get confused when you tried to promote them
  • The connect me feature is also a favorite of mine. I never manually dial in, I always have the meeting call me.
  • At one point, I was having major issues with the screenshare feature, to the point it was dropping 3-4 times a meeting. This was very challenging as the meetings had around 60 attendees. One of GlobalMeet's technicians worked with me and my technical department to get it working quickly. After that I no longer had any issues.
  • Right now, the main thing I would like to see is the message playing after connecting via phone be turned off or tell me how to turn it off.
  • Remove the option for the computer to call into the meeting. This always leads to challenges with sound during the meeting. People who do not readily join these meetings often choose this option.
  • no other recommendations, their recent upgrade dramatically improved the tool for me.
Allows you to reach staff/faculty in remote practice locations to provide educational sessions around new EMR build and workflows that will impact their day. It works great for running small to large meetings that require screen shares to facilitate discussion and approval of build within the EMR that really requires the ability for everyone to see the same thing so there is no confusion.

  • I don't have information on this part.
As previously mentioned, I was in charge of facilitating a weekly meeting with 60 attendees. I had major issues with the screenshare crashing repeatedly during the meeting. I got in contact with a GlobalMeet Technician immediately. He was extremely responsive and worked with my technician to resolve all of the issues quickly. After his intervention, I never had the same issue again.

We use GlobalMeet Collaboration to host live training and webinars. All departments at the national level use it for this purpose. In theory, it provides an opportunity for several people to be on a call at once while watching someone execute our system software on-screen.
  • GlobalMeet Collaboration is cheap.
  • The screen share recordings are always high quality and ready quickly in an easy to use format.
  • Customer support is very quick to declare a problem resolved.
  • Customer Support needs to actually resolve issues before declaring them resolved and ignoring them if they even acknowledge your request for support.
  • Multiple times customer support's solution has been to have over 100 people on a nationwide call disconnect from the call and log back in. This is neither practical nor acceptable in the middle of a call.
  • Screen share randomly stops sharing for no reason and there is no way to know this unless someone on the other end says something. Everything on the presenter's screen shows as the share is continuing.
  • With the most recent upgrade, several key pieces of functionality were removed so a new, non-user friendly interface could be added. No longer are presenters allowed to share documents via GlobalMeet. Also no longer are presenters allowed to poll the audience. These are key pieces of functionality that were available in the previous version and are available in just about all of the competition. When asked about it support said they would try to bring it back in a future release, but isn't the new design pretty.
GlobalMeet Collaboration is well suited if you need a tool that claims to be a screenshare/collaboration tool and your company has no budget for one. It is less than appropriate for people who actually want a piece of software that allows screen share and collaboration.

  • I honestly feel that at times I spend more time troubleshooting GlobalMeet Collaboration for people on calls than I do actually leading the calls.
GlobalMeet technical support is a joke. On multiple occasions, we have been told to have the 100+ people on a nationwide call leave the call in the middle of a presentation so the meeting can be restarted. Technical support also regularly announces the problem resolved without offering a solution or resolving the issue. We have to have a second person on most of our calls just to handle support with GlobalMeet.
GlobalMeet Collaboration was here before I was, however, it is a total piece of junk. It was selected as our tool because it was cheap and their parent organization is a board company. Their upgrades remove features instead of adding them. They keep saying things are going to get better, but in reality, they only get worse and they are incredibly happy about that.

We assign every attorney in the firm with their own GlobalMeet account for conference calls. They have their own 800 number and passcodes to give to clients. They enjoy the 24-7 aspect of making and hosting a conference call where before IT support created a conference bridge, that took time for them, IT and reduced usable channels of our T1.
  • Easy to use - just dial-in with your 800 number, enter a passcode or host-code and you are connected to your conference call.
  • Easy way of recording the conference call.
  • We like the email confirmation that includes the participants and the number of minutes they were connected that is sent at the end of a conference call.
  • The web interface could be easier to navigate.
On demand conference call and recording of calls, especially when you have a large group of participants.

  • There hasn't been a huge impact on ROI in a financial sense.
  • There's obviously a cost for the GlobalMeet service where before IT created conference bridges for the attorneys.
  • The positive is the ease of use for attorneys and IT staff.
We chose GlobalMeet because it offered the best value among the 2 or 3 vendors we considered for a conference calling service. The price was acceptable for the level of service and GlobalMeet has the features and functionally to help my attorneys work more effectively. I would choose GlobalMeet again if we were given the option.
  • Comments from one of our attorneys who is very technical and is a our Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Attorney: "Generally we tend to circulate feedback about issues we are having, things we need to do better at, etc. – but this evening I wanted to change that by sharing something positive: I really like GlobalMeet – it has excellent features, is easy to use whether as just a conference calling “bridge”, from the iPhone or iPad apps, or using it for web conferencing with the screen sharing feature, which I just used to review a forensics report before having it transmitted. Kudos to Chad for finding this excellent product – I’m a fan! "
  • Nothing is particularly difficult with GlobalMeet. The web interface could be upgraded, but it could be that I'm using and old version of the software.
Yes
I haven't used it very much, but I have downloaded the GlobalMeet app on my phone.
The screen-sharing feature works well and one of my attorneys is very pleased with the features and functionality of GlobalMeet. Making a user-friendly app is important and GlobalMeet has accomplished this goal.
